Kluskus IR 1 is not on Alert or in any immediate danger, this is just a community update regarding the fires in the territory. We will be posting updates as we receive them from BC Wildfire Service and the Fire Centres.
Wildfire update: We have been receiving multiple updates from the province through phone calls, and will continue to do so in the near future.
C10467 – Swede Creek – 1,815 hectares
9mm rain on site yesterday alone, no new growth in the fire, their wildfire personnel camp is setup.
The control line on southern and western flanks are in place, north flank a bit challenging with topography, wet ground, 120 people are on site with machines and air support.
There is no real growth expected, with current and projected weather forecast, no major issues expected in the next few days with the fire until it warms and dries up.
