The Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation Natural Resources Department advises members that fishing for Chinook (Spring) salmon using dip nets opened on Friday, July 10, 2026, and will remain open until September 22, 2026.
Fishing is permitted in the following locations:
- The main stem of the Fraser River from Alexandria (north boundary of Alexandria Indian Reserve, approximately 52°35.3′ north latitude) upstream to the confluence with the Blackwater River.
- The Quesnel River downstream from the B.C. Rail bridge in Quesnel.

Reporting Requirements
To support fisheries monitoring, members are asked to report their Chinook catch numbers to the fish monitors or to the Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation Natural Resources Department. Catch information will remain anonymous and will be used only for overall usage statistics.
