Dear Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation Members,
We have become aware of false rumours circulating in the community about upcoming payments to Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation members.
Specifically, there are rumours that members will receive a $5,000 payment in October and $10,000 annual payments for the next five years.
These rumours are false. No such payments have been approved or announced by Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation.
We are very concerned that some members may be making serious financial decisions based on this misinformation, including taking on debt or making commitments in anticipation of money they have been told they will receive.
Please do not make financial decisions based on rumours or unofficial information about future payments.
Any distribution, dividend, or other payment to members will always be communicated through official Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation channels. Official notices will be issued on Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation letterhead, posted on the Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation website, and authorized by Chief and Council or Administration.
If you hear information about a payment and are unsure whether it is true, please contact the Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation office directly or check the website at lhooskuz.com.
We ask all members to rely only on official LDN communications regarding financial distributions.
