Dividend Distribution – Second Payment Available Friday, May 15, 2026
Dear Members,
The Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation Leadership, Chief, and Council are pleased to announce that the Nation will issue a second dividend distribution of $5,000 per registered member on Friday, May 15, 2026, following the initial distribution in November 2025.
Members 19 years of age and older may claim their cheque in person at the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre. If you are unable to collect your cheque yourself, please contact reception or Council to make alternative arrangements. All recipients will be required to verify their identity prior to receiving payment.
For members 18 years of age and under, the Nation will establish a trust account in their name. Dividend funds will be held in trust until they reach the age of 19. Financial literacy training for youth will be provided at a future date to be announced. Members aged 19 and older are also encouraged to participate when training becomes available.
This marks the second dividend distribution from the Blackwater Project now that the mine has entered the production phase. While we remain optimistic about continued success, future distributions cannot be guaranteed.

Who is eligible to receive the dividend?
All registered Nation members are eligible. Members aged 19 and older will receive cheques directly. Dividends for members aged 0-18 will be held in trust.
How will I receive my cheque?
Cheques will be distributed at the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre. Members are expected to pick up their own cheque in person. If you are unable to do so, please contact reception or Council to arrange an alternative. Cheques may also be mailed upon request.
Do I need ID?
Yes, identification is required where available. If you do not have ID, staff will work with you to verify your identity. The Nation is also working with local banks to support cheque cashing for verified members without identification.
