Kluskus IR 1 is not on Alert or in any immediate danger, this is just a community update regarding the fires in the territory. We will be posting updates as we receive them from BC Wildfire Service and the Fire Centres.
Higher humidity and recent moisture have helped reduce fire activity in the Batnuni area. The fires are currently showing mostly Rank 1 behaviour, with some pockets of Rank 2 activity.
Crews continue to build guards around the fires. Some fire activity has been occurring in open cutblocks and regenerating areas, which has helped crews access and contain the affected areas.
Crews will continue working to strengthen containment while conditions remain favourable.
