Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation rents out a small cabin on Kluskus Reserve IR1 to members and non-members on a first come, first serve basis.

Cabin #1005 is located approximately 200 km from Quesnel in a culturally significant and remote Indigenous community on Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation territory. We rent this cabin out to guests for $100 per room, per night.

The cabin is equipped with basic cooking supplies, including utensils, pots, pans, and dishware. Guests should bring their own bedding, food and beverages, including drinking water, personal toiletries and hygiene products, medications and emergency medical supplies, including First Aid.

To help visitors prepare for a safe and respectful visit, we ask guests to follow some important safety and community guidelines:

  • Respect the Community: The cabin is located on our traditional territory. Please be respectful of the local culture, land, and residents. Stay on the designated paths and avoid private property.
  • Plan Ahead: There are no stores, gas stations, or medical facilities in the immediate area of the cabin. Plan ahead and bring everything you need (more on that below).
  • Protect Yourself from Bugs and Insects: Expect mosquitos, blackflies, and other insects. Bring bug spray, nets, and appropriate clothing.
  • Be Wildlife Aware: Bears, cougars, and caribou, and other wild animals are common in the area.
    • Never leave food or garbage outside. Garbage must be sealed and stored securely inside or in the designated lockable container.
    • Never approach or feed wildlife.
  • Prepare for Medical Emergencies: Bring all necessary medications. Emergency care is not immediately available.
  • Report Concerns: If anything in the cabin is broken, missing, or is cause for concern, please notify the Nation as soon as possible.
