Join Our Office Carpool: Walk of Remembrance – Highway of Tears

Our team will be coming together to attend the Walk of Remembrance: Highway of Tears in Prince George, and we’re organizing a group carpool from the office in Quesnel for anyone who would like to participate.

Carpool Details

We will be leaving the office at 7:00 a.m. to travel together to Prince George.

Band Van will be available for transportation, or you can carpool with any of the Lhoosk’uz staff who are attending.

Please note: fuel purchase orders will not be provided, as transportation options are arranged.


Event Overview

The Walk of Remembrance will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Red Dress Monument on Highway 16 and will conclude at the PG Conference & Civic Centre.

This is an opportunity to come together in support, reflection, and awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.

What to Expect

Snacks, lunch, and beverages will be provided during the event.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Umbrella (just in case)
  • Wear red
  • Any signs you would like to carry to help raise awareness
